Introduction to FirstClass

Introduction to a conference software

If you plan on doing a computer-mediated communication project you have to consider the many possibilities of communication via computer. Depending on the personal goals, age and ability groups (primary school, high school etc.) you have many options how to communicate via computer. E-mail projects, chat projects, research projects… are the common ones and which are most frequently used in schools. But there also exist more complex project possibilities which offered by using the "all-in-one" solution: a conference software. In such a program you have easy access to the internet, to chats, e-mails and you can establish many groups who can communicate within the program.

It is interesting to mention that this program is very transparent so that everybody can follow the work the others have done so far. Another advantage is that the pupils not only work in school but they can also work individually at home. Everything that is contributed to the project can be saved in the conference.

Our personal experiences showed us the variety of the conference software "First Class". We have created a Power Point presentation which gives beginners an easy introduction to First Class. Take a look at it and you will see how easy this complex conference software can be!
