Task 1
Read the information on the website www.arctictravel.com/photo/wild1.html with a
partner, and write down all the animals which are named in the text.
Task 2
Fill out the worksheet ‘Animal Quiz’ without using the above mentioned website.
Compare your answers in class.
Task 3
Write a short text about one animal living in the arctic and present it to your
class. The following questions can help you create your text:
What does it eat, what does it look like, where does it live, what kind of
relationship do the Inuit have towards this animal?
Go to http://tqjunior.thinkquest.org/3500/animals.htm for more interesting facts on arctic animals.
You could also look for a nice photo of your animal (internet, magazines,
encyclopeadia) to show/hang up in class.
Task 4
Write a poem about your favourite animal living in the arctic.
