Barbados: General Facts, History and Culture

The following culture quiz is a good thing to get a general overview of Barbados. It is meant to be printed out, copied and handed out to the learners. Internet access should be available for them, because they are supposed to find the answers to the questions on the web. You can get information about Barbados on the following web pages:

http://www.acc.umu.se/~brian/barbados/barbados.html
http://www.bajan.org
http://www.barbados.org
http://www.mindspring.com/~trudogg/indexvb.html
http://www.prideofbarbados.com

Please decide for yourself if you want to give those URLs to your learners or not. Take into account their language level and how much they know about searching on the net. If you are under time pressure you can also divide your class up into groups and give each group one URL.
