International MA / PhD Students

If you are an international student and intend to do a full master or PhD degree in Giessen, you will have to go through JLU's central admissions office.
There is a number of good reasons why you might want to do your MA/PhD studies at JLU Giessen! Our staff is always happy to help you in your choice and you are welcome to contact our study guidance if you have any queries. However, no matter whether you aim for a MA or PhD degree, you will have to go through central admissions and follow the application procedure and requirements outlined on the university's International Pages. PhD / SupervisionPlease note that in order to apply for PhD studies at JLU Giessen you will need to find a supervisor for your project before applying. Only full professors can be supervisors for PhD projects and they usually require an outline of our project in order to consider your application.
