Zinc finger specificity and function of CTCF in chromatin organization
The correct organization and regulation of the chromatin is crucial during normal development
and for avoiding disease. The CTCF family of proteins play an important role in these processes.
Exploiting our GFP- and affinity tagged mutants and knock-ins we will deploy progressive
analyses such as ChIP-Seq, 3C-Seq and microarrays to obtain insight in the function of the
CTCF/L proteins, their relation to one another and to other protein partners in the complex
process of chromatin regulation.
