Call for Papers

The 53^nd Congress of the Section Food Hygiene of the German Veterinarian Association (DVG) joint with the Section Food of Animal Origin in the Austrian Society for Veterinarians and the Swiss Veterinarian Organisation for Food Safety will take place from Tuesday, 25 September to Friday, 28 September 2012 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Bavaria, Germany).

Presentation of a poster or lecture Enrolment:             

This year, the enrolment of Presentations and posters is only possible by

E-mail (to kornelia.mueller@vetmed.uni-giessen.de).

A summary of the presentation should be attached to the E-mail as following: Maximum of 1 page, letters in size 12, narrow line spacing.

Don’t forget to tell in your E-mail if the presentation should be a poster or oral presentation!

Deadline for enrolment of presentations and posters is the 30th April.

If your presentation or poster will be accepted depends on the decision of the board members of the DVG.

Additionally to your enrolment of your presentation you should enrol yourself for partaking at the congress as well (see further down).

Information concerning oral presentations/lectures:

For oral presentations a speaking time of 15 minutes is granted.

As presentation media the following is available in Garmisch:

- Beamer
- Overhead
- Slide-show

You can bring your own laptop (but compatibility with our technique will not be guaranteed; please inform the congress   team in dvance!) For electronically saved presentations there is the possibility to give them on a disk, CD or memory-stick to the conference team, who will make sure that it is copied to the laptop in the lecture room.
Your presentation should be generated with Powerpoint (at least Office version 2007 or even newer). Please write your name, date and time of your lecture on the media you want to give to the conference team. After your lecture it can be recollected.

Information concerning posters:
For posters the space of a maximum of 1,50 x 1,20 meters (height x width) is available. If possible, the posters should have the size of 1189 x 841 mm (= DIN A0). The poster should be readable from 1 meter distance.

- Country
- Your E-mail address
- Which day you want to take part at the congress (e.g. Tuesday to Friday, or only one single day)
- If you bring another person (wife, husband…)
- The modality you want to pay (cash when you arrive or by money transfer in advance)

- Member of one of the following organisations: DVG, ATF, similar Austrian or Swiss organisations – entire congres 120 €

- Members - single day 60   €
- None-members – entire congress 240  €
- None-members – single day 100   €
- Students / trainee teacher and accompanying persons – entire congress 20   €
