Course of the disputation
In case the written thesis has received positive reviews both from the internal and the external reviewer, the examination committee will invite the candidate to participate in an oral examination. The exam will consist of an oral presentation of the research project followed by scientific discussion to which all members of the university are invited. After this there will be a non-public professional talk of at least 30 minutes centring on special as well as interdisciplinary aspects of the previous PhD-training. During this talk specific skills acquired in the field of the student's research as well as adequate application of these methods, will be evaluated. It will be possible to contact the members of the examination committee to discuss the themes of the oral examination some weeks in front of the disputation. |
