Male reproduction is the main topic of this research section which deals specifically with male factor infertility due to impaired spermatogenesis, thereby investigating the possible role of testicular structures and pathological mechanisms in infertility. Further research is carried out in the areas of female fertility and hormonal regulation in livestock. Many of the research projects in this section consist of fundamental experimental work on germ cell differentiation and hormonal control of infertility.
