JLU Giessen DAAD Prize
Although chiefly an award for academic excellence, the Prize is also an acknowledgement of remarkable social or university engagement on the part of an international student, preferably selected from among the circle of those who have reached an advanced stage in their studies. Candidates must be proposed by professors, the AStA organization, departmental student councils etc. Those who have recently taken their final exams as well as doctoral students can also be put forward; excluded as a basis of selection, however, are doctoral dissertations.
Proposals can be submitted to the President of JLU by 15 July of each year. The award is made within the framework of the Valedictory Ceremony in November. For further information, contact Frau Schulze in the International Student Advisory Office.
