This event is primarily held in German german. Nevertheless, you are of course cordially invited to participate and ask questions and comment in English english.

What is a Workspace Session | Digital University Teaching?

The Workspace Session series on digital university teaching combines the Brown Bag format with the Best Practice principle, in which experts from various JLU faculty cultures report on their experiences with digital teaching methods from their own day-to-day teaching. As a practical impulse, our experts then demonstrate on site the implementation and integration of this into their own teaching / learning concept.

Bring your own mobile device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.) with you and feel invited to test digital applications or tools on-site. Participate and try is desirable here, but no obligation! Inform yourself during your lunch break over coffee and lunch together with an exchange at eye level about the use of digital media in university teaching at the JLU.

What can I expect?

For each session, we invite two experts from a specialist area culture who have already successfully enriched their university teaching with digital methods. The faculty culture of humanities and cultural studies comprises the departments 03, 04 and 05. You can look forward to reviews from your colleagues from their digital day-to-day teaching and a practical part, where you can either become active with your mobile device yourself or be guided through the practical application.

I do not belong to the humanities or cultural studies. Is it still possible to participate?

Of course! You belong to the legal and economic sciences, the natural sciences or to human or veterinary medicine? No matter which department you feel affiliated with, we would like to offer you the opportunity to engage with the subject of digital university teaching and to take a look behind the (inter- and intradisciplinary) scenes. With our workspace sessions, we want to meet the needs and interests of different subject area cultures and therefore offer these sessions as a specifically designed series.
