Sections of the ZMI
The Centre for Media and Interactivity is organized into six sections that support cooperative research projects. These sections are highly active in the areas of teaching and research and also manage their own events and publications.
In the sections, scholars work from a wide spectrum of disciplines, including sociology/media sociology, societal comparison; history/recent history, contemporary history, Eastern European history, didactics of history, specialized journalism history; history of art; Turkish studies; Slavic studies/Slavic linguistics and Cultural Studies, Slavic linguistics; German studies/historical linguistics and German language history, language theory and language description, German Linguistics and language didactics, German language and media didactics, applied linguistics and computational linguistics, German as a foreign and second language, recent German literature and cultural studies, Romance studies/Spanish and Portuguese linguistics, Romance languages didactics, English studies/English didactics, applied linguistics, English linguistics and history of English; applied theater studies.
