Successful GIBS III in Hadera/Israel (German-Israeli Battery School)
After GIBS I in Tel-Aviv and GIBS II in Munich, GIBS III was successfully organized in Hadera/Israel, located between Haifa and Tel-Aviv. 25 young scientists from Israel and 25 young scientists from Germany were selected to join the Summer School, which was organized jointly by scientists from both Germany and Israel. The School combined tutorial lectures from world-renowned seniors scientists and presentations by all young scientists.
The German-Israeli Battery School is funded on the German side by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), on the Israeli side by the MOST (Ministry of Science of Technology. It is coordinated by Prof. Jürgen Janek and Dr. Sylvie Drahorad from JLU.
BMBF and MOST agreed to continue the program of GIBS, and GIBS IV will be held again in Germany, most probably in May 2019.
