Workshop - Calender

Below is a list of workshops offered by the GGL.

Other workshops (mainly German) you can find on the pages of the Didactics which offer primarily didactical courses and a teaching certificate; the GGL also has many courses for doctoral studens in the doctoral development program, which are all in English and some of them may be interesting for postdocs as well. The human resources development office offers many courses for all employes of the university but has a special section leadership which may be interesting for postdocs. The newly established Postdoc Career and Mentoring Office not only provides workshops but also is a good source for Postdoc Funds (conferences and external workshops) and offers counceling (inhouse) and external coaching. On the pages of the International Office you may occasionally find some English workshops; the graduate school for social sciences GGS has mainly German courses but offers some courses in English as well ; many courses on different topics are provided by the University of Marburg Research Academy MARA. MARA also has a special section for postdocs. If you want to join you need to obtain a MARA free membership (you can request it informaly by writing a letter to MARA); the center for material sciences PRIMA offeres some courses as well.

Regulations:

Our workshops are open for all postdoc members of the Justus Liebig University, Giessen and the Phillips University Marburg; attached institutes (Max-Planck Institutes, Frauenhofer-Institutes, Geisenheim, THM, etc.) may participate on request. Other participants can join to an increased fee.

FEES: Currently we charge a fee of 25 Euro per workshopday (50 Euro for a two day workshop) for internal participants and 75 Euro for participants from outside. Participants will receive an invoice from the university which can be transferred via bank transfer or directly booked using a "Kostenstelle"  of your supervisor/institute. The fee is also due if the participant registered and did not cancel a week before the workshop; in case you are sick we would like to have an official document.
