Lecture for international degree-seeking students: Residence Permit for your study period
in cooperation with the Immigration Authorities of the City of Gießen

This workshop is aimed at degree-seeking students from non EU-countries who would like to know more about the regulations of their residence permit for study purposes (§ 16 AufenthG). The lecturers will explain how much you can work in different jobs during your studies and whether a stay in Giessen/in Germany is possible after completing your studies. In addition, a short presentation will introduce the procedures for extending your residence permit, applying for a sabbatical semester (Urlaubssemester) and a change of subject (Fachwechsel). You will receive information on several counselling services (Akademisches Auslandsamt – AAA, Zentrale Studienberatung – ZSB, Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss – AStA).
