Things to bring
- Credit Card or EC Card (recommended). Credit cards are accepted by
most shops, restaurants etc. in Germany, however, not all cards may
be used. Cards widely accepted are Visa and Mastercard. We recommended
that you check with your credit card company whether you are able to
use your credit card in Germany and inform the company about you travel
plans.
- Sufficient money in cash for your first days in Germany.
- Light summer clothing as well as sweaters and long pants for cooler
weather. You may want to bring a raincoat or an umbrella. Summer in
Germany is usually warm and sunny, but there may be some cooler rainy
days. (The average temperature is 25° Celsius, but the temperature
may go up to 40° Celsius on some days.)
- Formal clothing for the welcome and farewell ceremonies as well as for part of the excursion to Brussels.
- Comfortable and sturdy shoes for study tours and excursions.
- Towels (washing machines are available in each dormitory).
- Adapter and converter for any electrical devices (e.g. laptop, mobile phone, hairdryer) you may want
to bring. German appliances work on 220 Volt.
- A sufficient supply of any medication you may need due to a chronic
illness or an allergy.
