International Summer University 2010

From July 17 until August 14, 2010, Hessen International Summer University (ISU) at the Justus Liebig University Giessen offers a study program on

Intellectual Property Law and Business in Biotechnology -European Opportunities

The interdisciplinary program consists of

• seminars (ETCS-Credits can be obtained),
• German language course (ECTS-Credits can be obtained),
• study tours, and
• an attractive leisure program.

The programm offered by the University of Giessen is designed for postgraduates, undergraduates with some basic knowledge in the area of biotechnology, and young professionals, who want to learn about Europe's way of dealing with the challenges of a new and developing industry such as biotechnology, and who want to get some first-hand experience with the German language as well as with German and European culture.

The study program comprises four units:

• Biotech Ethics
• Intellectual Property Rights - Law
• Intellectual Property Rights - Business
• Biotech Applications

and provides insights into various problems in the Biotechnology field.
