In order to notify us about an external funding project / apply for a project number, please send the following documents to the president:
- All documents from the sponsor, either originals or copies (except for DFG and federal projects, please include the corresponding attachments and use directives).
- A completed Source Data Sheet.
- The non-academic portion of the application (finance plan)
- For federal projects, an additional statement of acceptance from the project coordinator (only the university president is allowed to sign this).

All approval letters that go through the university's central inbox will be forwarded to the applicants for review. Some approvals are sent directly to the applicants (e.g. DFG standard procedures, PPP programs of the DAAD). In these cases, please send any approval documentation to the president, and inform the DFG liaison lecturer about any DFG grant approvals.
