Paper Presentation at DVPW Congress 2018 in Frankfurt

During the DVPW Congress from 25 to 28 September in Frankfurt, the TANNRE team presented a paper as part of the panel "Food Democracy. The Repoliticization of a Policy Field ".

The 27th annual congress of the German Political Science Association (DVPW) focused on “Frontiers of Democracy”. It brought together more than 1000 experts in roundtables, panels and lectures at the Goethe University Frankfurt.

The panel "Food Democracy. The Repoliticization of a Policy Field" was organized by Dr. Sandra Schwindenhammer (Justus Liebig University Giessen) and Prof. Dr. Peter Feindt (Humboldt University of Berlin), friendly supported by the DVPW working group “Umweltpolitik/Global Change”. Prof. Dr. Jale Tosun (Heidelberg University) discussed the papers.

 

 

Research assistant Jacob Manderbach presented the TANNRE paper entitled “Contested Sustainability? The Norm of Sustainability in the Global Regime Complex for Food”. The panel included further contributions by Juila Dennis, Prof. Dr. Peter Feindt (both Humboldt University of Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer (Rutgers University, New Jersey/Humboldt University of Berlin); Ulrich Hartung (Heidelberg University); Dr. Sabine Weiland (Catholic University Lille), Dr. Basil Bornemann (Universität Basel) and Prof. Dr. Holger Strassheim (Bielefeld University); and Dr. Colette Vogeler (TU Braunschweig).
