TANNRE at ECPR General Conference

From August 22 to 25, TANNRE will join Europe‘s largest annual gathering of political scientists at the ECPR General Conference in Hamburg. The submitted paper proposal “Global Food Governance in the Era of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Assessing Norm Contestation and Conflict Management” has been accepted.

The paper, which will be presented by research assistant Magdalena Tanzer, is assigned to the panel “Normative Divides in Post-Exceptionalist Agri-Food Governance“. This panel is hosted by Dr. Sandra Schwindenhammer (Justus Liebig University Giessen), Prof. Dr. Peter H. Feindt (Humboldt Ubiversity of Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Carsten Daugbjerg (University of Copenhagen). It aims to analyze how multiple interdependent relations within and among societies produce new normative divides in post-exceptionalist agri-food governance and lead to contestation over norms and ideas at different regulatory levels. The panel is part of the section “Contested Boundaries in Food and Agricultural Governance”, chaired by Dr. Gerard Breeman (Leiden University) and Dr. Jessica Duncan (Wageningen University). The section focusses on critical analyses of the re-negotiation of the boundaries in agri-food governance.
