How to reach Giessen and the conference venue?

Conference venue will be the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Bio Systems, Land Use and Nutrition (IFZ), located on the natural sciences campus of the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen.

You can reach Giessen and the conference venue by flight, train or car:

I. From Frankfurt International Airport and by train
From Frankfurt International Airport you may go to Giessen by train via Frankfurt/Main main railway station.

Get off at Giessen central railway station. In front of the railway station you will find the central bus station.

  1. Bus no. 2 (direction "Eichendorffring") or bus no. 5 (direction "Wieseck") will bring you to "Liebigstrasse" (first bus stop next to the railway station). At "Liebigstrasse" take bus no. 10A (direction "Unterhof", monday-friday). Leave the bus at "Naturwissenschaften" next to the conference venue.
  2. Bus no. 33 (direction "Giessen-Leihgestern-Grossen Linden-Giessen", monday-sunday) will bring you to the bus stop "Naturwissenschaften"

II. By car
From the North: Motorway A7 / A5 (Hamburg - Basel) to "Reiskirchener Dreieck", A480 (direction "Giessen") to "Giessener Nordkreuz", A485 (direction "Frankfurt") to "Gießen Schiffenberger Tal".

From the South: Motorway A5 to "Gambacher Kreuz", A45 (direction "Dortmund") to "Giessener Südkreuz", A 485 (direction "Giessen") to "Giessen Schiffenberger Tal".
