Exercise: Relative Clauses
Decide if the relative clauses (use of commas and of who, whom, which, that) in the following sentences are correct, and if not, how they should be corrected. Make notes of your answers for yourself and when you are done, follow the link at the bottom to the answers to see which ones you got right.
  1. I visited friends which I hadn't seen for a few years.
  2. We ran into a group of boys and girls which we had met the year before.
  3. I told him to stop, what he did.
  4. Marina who was the president of the club was the first to speak.

  6. In high school, we had an English teacher that could hardly speak a word of English.
