In his most recent book Dekoloniales Philosophieren (2021; English translation forthcoming), Rolf Elberfeld not only argues that philosophy as a discipline has to undergo a process of decolonialisation, but also investigates the consequences of radical decolonialisation for research and teaching.

In this masterclass, we do not only want to discuss decolonial critique of European cultural studies, but also to think about how to work through histories of intellectual entanglements and to look at the consequences of this process. Lived Responsibility, epistemic decolonialization in Europe, but also the big question of how to tell histories of philosophy and humanities to ourselves in the future will be issues to engage with in the discussion.

Event organized in collaboration with ETRG Migration and (De)coloniality Studies.
