Preise für herausragende kulturwissenschaftliche Forschung und Lehre vergeben / Prizes for outstanding research and teaching in the Study of Culture

Auch in diesem Jahr hat das GCSC dank der freundlichen Unterstützung durch die Dr.-Herbert-Stolzenberg-Stiftung erneut Preise für hervorragende kulturwissenschaftliche Dissertationen und akademische Lehre vergeben dürfen. Es war allen Teilnehmenden eine besondere Freude, am 19. Oktober 2022 im Rahmen der nach zwei Jahren pandemiebedingter Pause wieder stattfindenden Welcome and Graduation Ceremony, den jungen Forscherinnen persönlich zu applaudieren und die Gläser zu erheben. Der Dissertationspreis ging an direkt zwei erste Plätze: Liza Benita Bauer wurde für ihr Projekt „Livestock in the Laboratory of Literature: The Cultural and Ethical Work of Farm Animal Representations in Anglophone Literary Thought Experiments“ geehrt, und Andrea Züger erhielt den Preis für ihre Dissertation „Erzählen(d) über den Tod hinaus. Eine ethnografische Studie über das Transformieren von generativen Erzählungen in der Würdezentrierten Therapie“. Den Preis für hervorragende Leistungen in der Lehre erhielt Laura Borchert für ihr Seminar „Introduction to Cultural Investigations of Law, Gender, and Sexuality“. Thanks to the generous support of the Dr.-Herbert-Stolzenberg-Foundation, the GCSC has once again awarded outstanding dissertations and academic teaching in the Study of Culture. It was with special pleasure for all participants, after the pandemic-related hiatus of two years, to personally applaud and raise glasses to the young researchers on October 19, 2022, as part of the Welcome and Graduation Ceremony. The dissertation award was awarded to two first prize winners: Liza Benita Bauer was honored for her project "Livestock in the Laboratory of Literature: The Cultural and Ethical Work of Farm Animal Representations in Anglophone Literary Thought Experiments," and Andrea Züger received the prize for her dissertation project "Erzählen(d) über den Tod hinaus.
