Abstract:
Consider a bounded domain that admits a non-constant Neumann eigenfunction which has the further property that it is constant on the boundary. This imposes strong condition on the domain, and it is conjectured that the domain must be a ball. In this talk I will discuss such a conjecture and present some recent results obtained in collaboration with B. Kawohl.
