Upcoming / Planned Workshops

• A three-day de.NBI Genomics training course focusing on the sequence data analysis including quality control, assembly, genome annotation and comparative genomics with a focus on the usage of the BiGi software tools ASA3P and EDGAR as well as the BIGI Galaxy Server is held annually.
• The usage of the de.NBI Cloud infrastructure will be introduced in a workshop specialized for bioinformaticions and biologists.
• The Giessen Galaxy Server will be introduced in a hands-on training course.

de.NBI Summer School

• The first summer school on Cloud Computing for Bioinformatics of the German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) will be conducted at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen from June 25th until July 1st 2017. View selected presentations at the de.NBI YouTube channel.
• The first summer school of the German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) was conducted at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen from September 20th until September 26th 2015. Out of almost 40 applications we selected 20 participants coming from Germany, Austria, Poland, South Africa and the United States.

Recent Workshops

• The CLC Genomics Workbench is a commercial software for the analysis and visualization of next generation sequencing data. Professional trainers from CLC bio presented the Genomics Workbench with a focus on de-novo genome assembly, short-read mapping, and RNA-Seq experiment.
