Neubau Chemie
Willkommen am Institut für Organische Chemie der Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen
Unser Institut besteht derzeit aus drei Arbeitsgruppen um die Professoren Göttlich, Wegner und Schreiner,
die tatkräftig von ihren Mitarbeitern, technischen sowie administrativen Angestellten und akademischen Räten unterstützt werden. Forschungsthemen sind Aminosulfonsäuren, Azazucker, Computational Chemistry, Krebsdiagnostika, Matrixisolation, Nanodiamanten, Organokatalyse, polyvalente Wirkstoffe, Radikalchemie, und die Synthese von Naturstoffen. Das Institut ist mit allen Geräten zu gängigen Analysemethoden ausgestattet und betreibt unter anderen die zentrale NMR-Abteilung der Justus-Liebig-Universität.
Welcome to the Institute for Organic Chemistry at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen
Our institute consists of three research groups with the professors Göttlich, Wegner and Schreiner,
each energetically supported by their respective co-workers, technical as well as administrative personnel and academic councelors. Areas of research are aminosulfonic acids, aza-sugars, computational chemistry, matrix-isolation, nanodiamonds (diamondoids), organocatalysis, polyvalent pharmaceutical agents,the chemistry of radicals and the synthesis of natural products.
The institute is equipped with all devices for regular analytic tasks and operates the NMR facility of the Justus-Liebig-University.
