Practical Course + Seminar: Molecular Biology Techniques
Diese Kurs wird nur im Wintersemester angeboten
The practical course “Molecular Biology Techniques” will take place as soon as the minimum number of interested participants have registered (minimum number of participants:5, maximum number of participants: 8). The practical course is accompanied by a seminar. The participation in the seminar is mandatory for all participants of the practical course. Participation in only part of the course is not possible. The course generally covers methods from molecular biology, cell biology, histology and cell culture.
The topics may include:
- DNA and RNA isolation (cells and tissues) + methods of optimization
- Histology, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry
- Laser-mediated microdissection (LMM)
- PCR techniques including real-time PCR
- Approaches for inhibition of gene expression, e.g. via small interfering RNA
- Western blotting & ELISA
Procedure:
