Kursbeschreibung

The goal of the course is to help improve the impact of your scientific output in an efficient manner. Participants will learn important writing tips and receive feedback from a scientific editor, with a focus on the most crucial parts of a manuscript. In addition, participants will learn how to create a memorable scientific poster for impressing your audience at conferences. The instructor will also give an overview of the publication landscape and the reasoning behind first editorial decisions, to better understand the key aspects assessed by scientific evaluators. There will also be interactive activities such as "choose the best title" to "make an editorial decision." On day two, theory will be put into practice. In individual meetings, the instructor and participant will discuss the participant’s abstracts or cover letter. Abstracts and cover letters should be provided at least one week before the course begins.
