Wartung: BigBlueButton (BBB) am 22. September 2023 ab 18:00 nicht erreichbar / Update auf Version 2.7

Am Freitag, den 22.09.2023 ab 18:00 Uhr, wird der Webkonferenz-Dienst BigBlueButton (BBB) mit zahlreichen Verbesserungen und neuen nützlichen Funktionen aktualisiert. BBB-Meetings sind bis Samstagmorgen (23.09.2023, ca. 10:00 Uhr) nicht möglich.

On Friday, 09/22/2023 starting at 18:00, the BigBlueButton (BBB) web conferencing service will be updated with numerous improvements and new useful features. BBB meetings will not be possible until Saturday morning (09/23/2023, approx. 10:00 am).

Raster-Layout / Grid Layout

Das Webcam-Layout wurde verbessert, indem nun eine visuelle Darstellung jedes Teilnehmenden bereitstellt wird (nicht mehr nur der Personen mit aktivierter Kamera). Auf diese Weise können Sie unabhängig davon, ob eine Webcam freigegeben wurde oder nicht, leichter erkennen, wer spricht, wer anwesend ist usw.

The layout which is focused on webcams has been enhanced by providing a visual representation of each participant. This way whether a webcam was shared or not, you can more easily be aware of who is speaking, who is present etc.

Kamerabild als Inhalt / Camera as content

Beim hybriden Lernen (und nicht nur) besteht häufig die Notwendigkeit, ein physisches Whiteboard anzuzeigen oder die Aufmerksamkeit der Teilnahmenden auf einen bestimmten physischen Bereich zu lenken. In der neuen Version wird es möglich sein, den Inhalt einer Webcam als Hauptinhalt auf der Präsentationsfläche zu belegen.

In hybrid learning (and not only) there is a frequently a need for displaying a physical whiteboard or draw the attention of participants to a specific physical area. BBB now supports using a webcam as the main content to occupy the presentation area.

Deaktivieren Sie die Anzeige Ihres eigenen Videostreams / Disable viewing your own video stream

Es kann nun die Selbstanzeige der eigenenWebcam deaktiviert werden, damit man sich nicht selbst als Teilnehmender sieht. Wenn Sie die Ansicht deaktivieren, sehen Sie ein Bild von sich selbst mit einem Hinweis, das Sie daran erinnert, dass Ihre Webcam noch aktiv ist und andere Sie sehen.

You can now disable the self viewing of your webcam to reduce fatigue of seeing your own webcam stream. When you disable the view you will see an image of yourself with an overlay reminding you that your webcam is still active and others see you.

Herunterladen der Originalpräsentation wiederherstellen / Restore downloading of original presentation

In BigBlueButton 2.4 und 2.5 wurde das optionale Herunterladen der gesamten Präsentation unterstützt. In BigBlueButton 2.6 wurde diese Option durch die Möglichkeit ersetzt, die Präsentation mit allen darin eingebetteten Anmerkungen herunterzuladen. Ab BigBlueButton 2.7 können Sie beides tun. Es kann zwischen der Präsentation mit dem aktuellen Status der Anmerkungen, der hochgeladenen Originaldatei oder, falls BigBlueButton die Präsentationsdatei in PDF konvertieren musste, auch die PDF-Zwischendatei zum Herunterladen ausgewählt werden.

In BigBlueButton 2.4 and 2.5 we supported optional downloading of the entire presentation. In BigBlueButton 2.6 we replaced this option with the capability to download the presentation with all the annotations embedded in it. As of BigBlueButton 2.7 you are be able to do both! In fact, you could select between the presentation with the current state of the annotations, the original file that was uploaded, or in case BigBlueButton had to convert the presentation file to PDF, you could also select that intermediate PDF file to be downloaded.

Timer und Stoppuhr / Timer and stopwatch

Es wurde die Option hinzugefügt, um einen Countdown (Timer) oder einen Countdown (Stoppuhr) in der Sitzung anzuzeigen. Der Timer wird allen Teilnehmern angezeigt und es gibt eine akustische Benachrichtigung, wenn der Timer abgelaufen ist.

We have added the option to display a count down (timer) or a count up (stopwatch) in the session. They are displayed to all participants and there is an audio notification when the timer elapses.

Einschlaf-Sperre / Wake lock

Wenn Sie BigBlueButton auf einem mobilen Gerät verwenden, können Sie jetzt die Einschlaf-Sperre aktivieren (wenn Ihr mobiler Browser die API unterstützt). Wenn diese Option aktiviert ist, bleibt der Bildschirm Ihres Geräts eingeschaltet, d. h. er wird nicht gedimmt und daher werden Ihre Medienverbindungen nicht unterbrochen.

When using BigBlueButton on a mobile device you can now enable Wake lock (if your mobile browser supports the API). When enabled, your device's screen will remain on -- i.e. will not dim -- and therefore your media connections will not be interrupted.

Reaktionen, Emojis / Reactions Bar

Die Reaktionsleiste soll es den Teilnehmenden einfacher machen, mit Emojis auf die veranstaltende Person zu antworten. Das Emoji wird 1 Minute lang im Benutzer-Avatar-Bereich angezeigt. Die Leiste bleibt nach der Aktivierung sichtbar, und das ausgewählte Emoji bleibt sichtbar, bis es abläuft oder die Auswahl aufgehoben wird.

The Reactions Bar aims to make it much easier for students to respond with emojis to the teacher. The emoji is displayed in the user avatar area for 1 minute. The bar remains visible once activated, and the emoji selected remains visible until it times out or is unselected.
