LAS Student-Conference
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites Liberal Arts & Sciences students from across Europe to participate in the student organized conference "The City of the Future – Connected Minds and Visionary Ideas", taking place at Justus Liebig University (Rathenaustraße 10, 35394 Giessen) from November 21 to November 23, 2025.
The City of the Future – Connected Minds and Visionary Ideas
From November 21–23, 2025, we invite students from all across Europe to Giessen to develop visions for "The City of the Future" together. Through interdisciplinary workshops, discussions, and group work, we will exchange ideas on topics such as sustainable living, social cohesion, political participation, energy, and infrastructure. The goal of the conference is to connect new perspectives and develop practical approaches for how everyone can actively contribute to shaping a sustainable city.

Welcome session and introductory talks, followed by Calls for Participation - Saturday, November 22, 2025:
Brief presentations, followed by collaborative development of concepts around "The City of the Future" in group workshops - Sunday, November 23, 2025:
Presentation and summary of concepts, summary and conclusion of the conference
Participation in the conference is free of charge.
Travel and accommodation expenses must be covered by the participants themselves.
