Career Talks

Currently we are involved in two different career talk series:

1.) Karrieregespräche für Postdocs - Außeruniversitäre Perspektiven in Industrie, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft [in German]

This series is mainly in German (but offers room for questions in english as well), and focuses on the transition from a postdoc position to the first position outside of academia. Here we have guests who extensively share their perspective on their current position, on the transition from academia to industry, and on many other perspectives. The format is a dialogue between the invited guest and the participants, and every question is welcome. This series is organised by the PCMO@GGL and PCMO@GGS, and covers a wide perspective on job opportunities outside of academia.

This online series normally takes place once a month from 18:00 to ca. 19:00/19:30h.

2.) Future Network Talks [in English]

This series is especially for (young) researchers from the life-science / medical sector. It is co-organized by the PCMO@GGL and the Max Planck institutes in Marburg and Bad Nauheim, as well as the Marburg school for microbiology. It features a short presentation of invited speakers and offers room for some questions. The series is in english.

This online series is normally scheduled for the first Friday every month from 12:00 to 13:00h.
