07.10.2022 - Dr. Archana Raghavan Sathyan was selected as a DAAD Research Ambassador 2022-2025 in the field of Agriculture, Forestry, Geo- and Hydroscience

We congratulate Dr. Archana Raghavan Sathyan on the nomination of DAAD Research Ambassador. Dr. Raghavan Sathyan defended her Ph.D. thesis on climate change vulnerability assessment among rainfed smallholder farmers: a case analysis from Indian watersheds at Justus-Liebig University, Germany. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Extension of Kerala Agricultural University, India. She collaborates with members of the SDGnexus Network in research areas, including climate change and adaptation studies, gender, and citizen science.

DAAD Research Ambassadors are academicians and scientists who have a long-standing relationship with Germany and are interested in promoting Germany as a destination for higher learning and scientific cooperation by sharing their experiences and mentoring students and colleagues. Established academic/scientific community members help inspire their colleagues and students to consider Germany as a partner in their work or as a destination for study or research by answering their questions and organizing events on and off campus.
