JLU-Postdocs
We would like to cordially invite you to the PCMO Welcome Day for all new postdocs at Justus Liebig University. All those of you who have been at JLU already for a longer time are also invited very warmly.
The welcome day will take place on Tuesday, November 18 2025 – for this, we have planned two parts:
4 p.m., Main University Building, Ludwigstraße 23, room 315 (3rd floor)
We will meet at 4 p.m. at JLU's Main University Building. Please enter the building and come directly to the room 315 on the 3rd floor. There, we will welcome you with a cup of coffee and then Dr. Alissa Theiß, JLU's collection coordinator, will guide us through the building and tell us about the art works which can be seen there.
from 5:30 p.m., Restaurant Heyligenstaedt
After the end of the tour we will walk to the Heyligenstaedt Restaurant. There we invite you to the Faculty Club for the evening. This weekly format in the rooms of the Restaurant Heyligenstaedt is a meeting place for everyone at JLU to get in touch with each other and exchange ideas in an informal and interdisciplinary way. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies of JLU, Prof. Dr. Wencke Gwozdz, will be present that evening and will address a greeting to you at 6 p.m.
Do not hesitate to register – we look forward to seeing you! We invite all (not only the new) JLU Postdocs to spend the evening with us at the Faculty Club! The PCMO will cover the costs for registered postdocs.

Wir möchten Sie ganz herzlich zum PCMO-Begrüßungstag für alle neuen Postdocs an der Justus-Liebig-Universität einladen. Alle, die schon länger an der JLU sind, sind natürlich auch ganz herzlich eingeladen.
Der Begrüßungstag wird am Dienstag, den 18. November 2025 stattfinden – dafür haben wir zwei Teile geplant:
16 Uhr, Universitätshauptgebäude, Ludwigstraße 23, Raum 315 (3. OG)
Wir treffen uns um 16 Uhr im Hauptgebäude der JLU. Bitte kommen Sie direkt in das Gebäude und begeben Sie sich in den Raum 315 im 3. Stock. Dort werden wir Sie mit einer Tasse Kaffee begrüßen. Anschließend wird uns Dr. Alissa Theiß, Sammlungskoordinatorin der JLU, durch das Gebäude führen und uns die dort ausgestellten Kunstwerke vorstellen.
Ab 17:30 Uhr, Restaurant Heyligenstaedt
Im Anschluss an die Stadtführung laufen wir zum Restaurant Heyligenstaedt. Dorthin laden wir Sie für den Abend in den Faculty Club ein. Dieses wöchentlich in den Räumen des Restaurants Heyligenstaedt stattfindende Format ist ein Treffpunkt für alle an der JLU, um zwanglos und fachübergreifend miteinander in Kontakt zu kommen und sich auszutauschen. Für Snacks und Getränke ist gesorgt. Die Vizepräsidentin für Forschung und Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses der JLU, Prof. Dr. Wencke Gwozdz, wird an diesem Abend anwesend sein und um 18 Uhr ein Grußwort an Sie richten.
Zögern Sie nicht, sich anzumelden – wir freuen uns auf Sie! Wir laden alle (nicht nur die neuen) JLU-Postdocs ein, den Abend mit uns im Faculty Club zu verbringen! Die Kosten für angemeldete Postdocs übernimmt das PCMO.
