[Online] From Twitter to Mastodon – Microblogging for Young Researchers

The workshop will start highlighting the various benefits of microblogging platforms, such as Mastodon and Twitter, for academics, especially doctoral candidates and early postdocs. The event will continue with a go-through tutorial for navigating these platforms and drafting the first content. This will be followed up by some tips and hints on how to use these platforms efficiently, including topics such as tweet/tröt frequency and content, time management, netiquette, etc. A Q&A session at the end of the lecture will offer an opportunity for more detailed questions on the topic as well as an exchange of experience with more advanced microblogging users regarding best-practice principles.
