DESCRIPTION:This lecture examines how global agrifood systems are being re
 shaped under the pressures of climate change\, environmental degradation\,
  geopolitical uncertainty\, and rising malnutrition and inequality. It rev
 iews major international efforts\, including the UN Food Systems Summit pr
 ocess and discusses persistent challenges in implementation\, financing\, 
 and equity. The talk focuses on China’s experience in transforming its a
 grifood system through high-level visiontechnological innovation\, policy 
 reform\, food loss reduction\, dietary transition\, and rural development.
  Emphasis is placed on balancing food security\, environmental sustainabil
 ity\, and nutrition goals through integrated\, system-based approaches. Th
 e lecture concludes by outlining future directions such as AI-enabled agri
 culture\, circular food systems\, and strengthened international cooperati
 on for more resilient and sustainable global food systems.
