Talking about authors such as Ian McEwan and Hilary Mantel, Mullan will give an insightful account of main characteristics and trends in recent literary fiction as well as of its surprising commercial success. His experiences of interviewing and writing about leading novelists for the Guardian and his work as a judge for the prestigious Man Booker Prize give Mullan a unique insight into the literary scene of contemporary Britain beyond the academic scope.
