Current Activities

Hannah Engelmann-Gith (she/her) is Project Officer for Trans*PARI, a cooperation between DiML and QNN (Queeres Netzwerk Niedersachsen) researching peer-to-peer trans counseling and trans health and implementing best practices in a network of counselors and health care providers in Lower Saxony.
Hannah is also working on a dissertation on anti-queer ideology and freelancing as a speaker and trainer for gender diversity.

Research Interests

Queer studies, focusing on trans peer counseling, trans health and resilience, and anti-queer ideology

Queer perspectives on the construction of species categories and human-animal power relations

Dissertation Project

For her dissertation, supervised by Prof.in Dr.in Susanne Maurer and Prof.*in Dr.*in Heinz-Jürgen Voß, Hannah analyzed anti-queer books, focusing on their leitmotifs, themes, and the social context which shape their authors' ideology. 
The dissertation is currently being edited for submission.
