Eye Tracking Technology

A brief overview of eye tracking technology

Eye tracking describes the recording of eye movements and fixations of a person.

In the DecIS-Lab, the reflection of the cornea and pupil is continuously recorded using an infrared camera. The exact eye movements can then be calculated from a video recording of the eyes and the infrared data.

The measured eye movements can then be transferred to the screen contents and visualized by means of gaze plots or heat maps, for example.
