Research

We analyze regulatory incentives, funding and reimbursement of breakthrough medical innovation such as novel gene therapies and CAR-T cell therapy. We study the dissemination of digital health technologies, e.g. the widespread use of mHealth devices for detecting atrial fibrillation or telemedicine in surgery. We analyze the determinants of cultivating a successful entrepreneurship culture for medical innovation and what sets one country apart from another.

With our international partners, we analyze successful incentives for foreign direct investments in the health care sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we compared the performance and preparedness of international health care systems and its impact on resource allocation.
