Working title (the loneliest whale in the world for 8 hours in HD)

More important than anything else was to find a way to live. It was under this thought that we started moving. When we returned to the movements months later we saw withdrawal where we had once seen proposition. The body that had moved before now seemed to belong so intensely to this former state of being that when we immersed ourselves in the exact same positions, it felt like skin moving without intention. Henrike wrote: It might turn out that this attempt is pretty much connected to the desire to disappear (from politics, practical life, the body) but it could also allow a perception of the present, that, due to its softness, is able to float through layers that would otherwise be blocking.
Else Tunemyr uses movement to liberate bodies from their intentionality. To do this, she (ab)uses practices that follow the functions of the body, its organs or its heartbeat, and transforms them into a simple choreographic method. A gap appears between the dancer and her movement. Embodiment and alienation of the same movement are suddenly indistinguishable.
