Arrival by Plane

 

Next airport to Giessen is the airport in Frankfurt. In Germany cities are really close to each other and the railroad connections are great. So you can easily journey on by train from Frankfurt Airport to the train station (Giessen Bahnhof).

Route: Train Station (Giessen Bahnhof) - Department of Chemistry


On Foot

From the train station about 15 minutes: Take the footbridge over the rails to the right side from the forecourt of the train station. Go straight on Friedrichstraße until you can turn right to Wartweg. Go straight on, then turn left into Aulweg, cross the street and take the next possibility to turn right (footpath). Go straight on the footpath, across the complete natural science campus. At the end of the path you will see the department of chemistry.

 

By bus

Take the footbridge over the rails to the right side from the forecourt of the train station. Go straight on Friedrichstraße until you can turn right to Frankfurterstraße go straight on to the bus stop. Take the bus route 10b and deboard at the stop Aulweg/Wartweg. During the semester break you can only take the bus route 10a, which makes a detour but hits also the stop Aulweg/Wartweg.
