Faculty IT workgroup
Digitization in agriculture, rising demands on the computing power in simulations of environmental processes, and the analysis of large amounts of data in home economics and nutritional sciences pose new challenges in safe and secure IT for our faculty (Agricultural Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, and Environmental Management). In order to meet these challenges the faculty IT workgroup has been established.
The IT workgroup offers support to the dean's office as well as the faculty's research groups in questions of development and implementation of digital research and education as well as IT security - in close cooperation with the IT service center. The workgroup also runs and maintains the faculty's centralized IT infrastructure with a special focus on the computer rooms, the agricultural research facilities, but doesn't offer first level support for the IT equipment of all research groups.
