Bachelor and master theses

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Przyborski/Becker lab

We offer experimental Bachelor and Master theses and PhD studies on current and exciting research projects in the areas of 1) Cell biology of malaria parasites (Prof. Jude Przyborski), 2) redox and energy metabolism (Prof. Katja Becker), and 3) Actin dynamics in malaria parasites (Dr. Ross Douglas). If you would like put the knowledge learned in your studies into practice and prepare for a career in research or industry, you can learn biochemical and molecular biology methods and work closely with our international team.

If you are interested in a practice-oriented Bachelor or Master thesis or PhD studies in our laboratory, please submit the usual application documents (letter of motivation, CV, certificates) in a timely manner (approx. 6 months before the start) to Isabell Berneburg. Master and Ph.D. students interested in the research of Dr. Ross Douglas should contact him directly. We will then try to coordinate your interests with the current projects in our laboratory. You are very welcome to contribute your own ideas, and should you need assistance in choosing the right topic, please do not hesitate to contact us.
