Alexandros Solomos Balatsoukas presently serves as a Doctoral Fellow in Global Intellectual History at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture, Giessen University. His educational journey has taken him across transnational boundaries, spanning from Athens to Valladolid and Groningen, culminating in his proficiency in seven languages. His scholarly pursuits primarily revolve around the realms of Global and Transnational (post) Ottoman history. His ongoing research project delves into the intricacies of the Young Turk's political thought in exile, as he explores exile as a profound intellectual experience. In this endeavor, he diligently investigates the crucial role of ideas in catalyzing social movements and instigating political transformations.
