CfA: Miriam Gillis-Carlebach Fellowship 2024

Funding for Young Scholars of Jewish Studies

The Institute for the History of the German Jews (IGdJ) is a member of the Joseph Carlebach Working Group (CAK) at the University of Hamburg. Founded in 1991, CAK is committed to promote teaching and research on Jewish history, culture and religion in Hamburg and foster academic exchange between Germany and Israel.

For the first time in its history, the CAK announces the Miriam Gillis-Carlebach Fellowship to be awarded in 2024 to young scholars (PhD candidate and post-docs) who pursue projects that are thematically anchored in the CAK’s research profile and field of activities.

The deadline for applications is 25 June 2023.
