Abstract

Relational database systems are the most effective and widely used way to store large amounts of data. Many well-known systems are based on this form of data storage. Examples include Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, Postgres, and many more. This course focuses on the effective application of such systems with practical examples.

  • After successful completion of the course, participants
    • can store large amounts of data without redundancy in relational databases using SQL and
    • query the data in the form of statements or views.
  • For this purpose, the following contents are covered: Modeling of data with ER models, optimization using normal forms and realization with SQL in relational database systems, Data query with SQL (joins, aggregation functions, groupings)
