Planetary Colloquia
The planetary colloquia take place at regular intervals and serve mainly for academic exchange. The panel invites experts on a question with planetary relevance, who give (short) lectures from different (academic) perspectives. These impulses from different disciplines form the basis for a scientific discussion of the topic and thus promote interdisciplinary dialogue. The participation of the interested public is of course also very welcome and encouraged.
Like the Planetary Lecture Series, the planetary colloquia are designed as hybrid events: to take the conversation beyond the physical boundaries of Gießen and to make it more accessible. The most recent event in this series on "Perspectives on the Rights of 'Nature'" took place on November 10, 2022. More information on all previous events of this series can be found here. The full recording of the colloquium is available on YouTube. As soon as the date for the next Planetary Colloquium is set, all information surrounding this event will be announced here.
