This platform, operated by the research group of Prof. Janek, covers several analytics methods in the field of electrochemical research on materials and surfaces:
- Field-Emission Scanning Electron-Microscopy - MERLIN, Carl Zeiss NTS (including EDX, EBSD), person in charge is Dr. Klaus Peppler.
- NEW: Plasma-Focused-Ion-Beam Scanning Electron-Microscopy (PFIB-SEM) - Tescan XEIA3 (including detectors for secondary, backscatter and transmission electrons, EDX, protective-gas and vacuum airlock, cryo table), person in charge is Dr. Klaus Peppler.
- Time-of-Flight Mass-Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) - ToF-SIMS 5, ION-TOF (including Ar-cluster source and FIB), person in charge is Dr. Marcus Rohnke.
- Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) - Versaprobe II, Physical Electronics GmbH (including Auger, UPS, Mg/Zr anode, C60 source), person in charge is Dr. Joachim Sann.
- Thin-Film X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) - X'Pert Pro, PANalytical B.V. (with heating chamber XRK 900), person in charge is Dr. Bjoern Luerßen.
- Powder X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) - Empyrean, PANalytical B.V. (with heating chamber DHS 1100), person in charge is Dr. Bjoern Luerßen.
- Impedance Analyzers (Bio-Logic SAS; ZAHNER-elektrik GmbH & Co. KG; Novocontrol Technologies GmbH & Co. KG), partly with temperature control, person in charge is Dr. Joachim Sann.
- Battery Cycling Systems (Maccor, Inc.; Bio-Logic SAS), person in charge is Dr. Joachim Sann.
- Contact Angle Gauge, person in charge is Dr. Marcus Rohnke.
