The registration deadline for the evening courses closed on 16.04.2025 at 8:00 am.
Registrations for the evening courses in the summer semester 2025 are no longer possible.
About the evening courses
- We offer our evening courses from beginner level (A1) through levels A2, B1, B2, C1.1 to C1.2.
- Each course includes 52 teaching units (UE) in the winter semester and 48 in the summer semester.
- The courses usually take place on Mondays and Wednesdays OR Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.15 until 7.45pm.
- It is possible to start at any level.
- You can achieve 3 ECTS per course.
- Course sizes: min. 5, max. 25 participants.

Deadlines and dates
Summer term 2025:
- Registration period: 17.03.2025 - 16.04.2025
- Start of courses: 05.05.2025 / 06.05.2025
- End of courses: 23.07.2025 / 24.07.2025
- Course changes and cancellations are possible until the end of the first week of the course.

- Programme students (Erasmus+ and others)
- international students
- PhD students
- Visiting academics (and their relatives)
- Staff members (and their relatives)
...of the Justus Liebig University (JLU) and the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM).
Unfortunately, external individuals are not permitted to attend.
The evening courses are not intended for VIP students.

How much does the course cost?
- The evening courses are free of charge for JLU-students and programme students (Erasmus+ etc.).
- Doctoral students, visiting scholars, staff members and their relatives and freemovers only pay a small fee for participation: in the winter semester € 198 for 52 teaching units (UE) and in the summer semester € 182 for 48 UE.
- In the event of withdrawal, please note the fee schedule.
Do I have to take a placement test?
The following participants do NOT have to take the placement test:
- Participants who already passed an evening course with us. Please remember to upload your Leistungsschein in the registration form
- Participants who already passed an international summer course (HSK) or an international spring course (IFK). Please remember to upload the certificate in the registration form
If this does not apply to you, you must take the placement test. You can find more information about the placement test in the registration form.
