German Intensive Courses for Refugees as Prospective Students

Registration

Refugees who would like to study at JLU Giessen can register for our free intensive German courses.
Since the beginning of 2016, we have been offering intensive German courses for refugees interested in studying. The courses usually take place from monday to thursday. During the courses, we also provide information about the courses offered at JLU and about the application procedures.
You have the opportunity to attend German courses at levels A1 to B1+. The A1. 1 course is intended for those who do not have any knowledge of the German language. For courses from A1. 2 to B1 you need a valid German course certificate (not older than two years) or we will send you a placement test by e-mail to determine the appropriate course level.
The B1+ course is aimed at those who have already completed the B1 level (e.g. by attending an integration course at level B1) and are interested in extending their B1 knowledge.

Requirements:

• Proof of your refugee status
• For all courses from A1. 2 onwards: Proof of the previous course or placement test
• Fully completed registration form
